1- This CFW doesn't have LV1 checks disabled and can't be installed on Downgraded PS3 consoles unless you have Dehashed/Reset Syscon Properly (if you're not sure about your PS3, Dehash it anyway to avoid any risk) Link ----> Dehashing Tutorial
2- Always make a NOR/Nand dump using multiMAN or memdump before installing this CFW to have a recovery backup in case of any bricks.Having a valid NOR/Nand dump is an essential step before upgrading, because you will always have a way to recover (using hardware flashers) when you have a valid dump.
** A Hardware Flasher alone without a valid dump cannot fix your bricked PS3 **
3- It's always better to have QA flag set (leave it Enabled) on your PS3 for safer upgrading/downgrading operations. Link ----> toggle_qa.pkg
4- Always use the Recovery Menu while installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks (XMB update works, but Recovery Menu is safer).
5- TrueBlue CFW users must update back to OFW3.55 before installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks.
- This is a 4.21CFW spoofed to version 4.25 to allow SEN access
- It can be used as a normal System Update from any 3.55 OFW/CFW/MFW
- TrueBlue CFW users must update back to OFW3.55 before installing this CFW to avoid possible bricks.
- It was tested using a hardware flasher and no bricks or any problems at all were encountered
- It can run games signed with Keys up to version 4.21 without any Eboot/Sprx patching needed
- Games must be loaded from Disc Icon (with Original game in BD) and not from app_home
- Current 3.55 homebrew application can't be loaded on this CFW, applications must be re-signed properly.
- Downgrading back to 3.55 is always possible using hardware flashers and will be tested soon using software methods.
Credits to eussNL and the PS3DevWiki for the valuable and always up-to-date source of information.
Credits to Deank for his continuous efforts on Multiman and many other PS3 tools/fixes.
- Download the 4.25 downgrader PUP ---> 4.25 Downgrader Size 176MB (184,595,263 bytes) MD5: 49d80e07fc1f5ca1b0840e02e94635db
- Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"
- While on Rogero CFW4.21, go to System Update from XMB and install the 4.25 downgrader CFW.
- Once installed, now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7.PUP
- Start the PS3 into Recovery Menu (or use Condor Updater for Slim consoles) and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" (from Recovery Menu, this is important)
- Once the install is finished, you're now back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 ( from here it's better to dehash again before installing any other OFW/CFW 3.55 )

Next Tuesday, October 23rd, we will be releasing a new system software update for PlayStation 3 (version 4.30). With this update we have made several changes to how Trophies are displayed on your PlayStation 3.
The Trophy Collection will now reside under PlayStation Network on the XMB. Trophies that you have earned playing PlayStation Vita games are now displayed on your PlayStation 3. You will also be able to see your Trophy level and progress towards the next level while viewing your trophy collection.
By the beginning of November 2012, we will retire the services available through the Life with PlayStation application. In conjunction with its retirement, we will stop offering the Life with PlayStation application to new users with the 4.30 update.
This includes the conclusion of our participation with Stanford University's Folding@home, a distributed computing project aimed at understanding protein folding, misfolding and studying the causes of a variety of diseases such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's as well as various cancers.
We'd like to thank the more than 15 million users that have participated in the program since it started on PS3 in 2007. PS3 users have donated in total more than 100 million computation hours to the Folding@home project to date, and as a result, contributing greatly to Stanford University's Alzheimer 's disease research.
Considering the contribution PS3 has made to the project, we decided to retire it as a result of discussions with Stanford University.
Vijay Pande, Folding@home research lead at Stanford University, had this to say about your contributions:
"The PS3 system was a game changer for Folding@home, as it opened the door for new methods and new processors, eventually also leading to the use of GPUs. We have had numerous successes in recent years.
Specifically, in a paper just published in the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, we report on tests of predictions from earlier Folding@home simulations, and how these predictions have led to a new strategy to fight Alzheimer's disease.
The next steps, now underway at Stanford, are to take this lead compound and help push it towards a viable drug. It's too early to report on our preliminary results there, but I'm very excited that the directions set out in this paper do appear to be bearing fruit in terms of a viable drug (not just a drug candidate)."

Changelog
================================================================================
Version 0.0.2:
- Fixed: .avi files not playing after a .mkv, .mov or .mp4 file has been played
- Fixed: When entering a new folder « Item number/All item number » will not update until moving down on d-pad
- Fixed: When paused, the osd buttons (y, xbox, x) unpauses video, only (a) pauses/unpauses now
- Fixed: Osd_show_progression (x) only shows if osd-button (y) hasn’t been pressed before
- Fixed: Lb and Rb doesn’t seek -600/+600
- Fixed:The D-pad being buggy after a video has been played
- Fixed: Some bugs with osd displaying delay as -0 because of it being close to zero
- Fixed: Removed the 1 pixel-width line artifact in videos
- Changed: Osd-button (y) now switches from directly on/off, this means it only needs 1 press to full osd and not 3 presses
- Changed: When pressing the pause-button (a) progression will also show
- Changed: The page down icon now only shows, if there are at least more items than a page
- Changed: The ( button doesn’t exit to homescreen any more, it goes one level up, until root then goes to homescreen
- Changed: [extension.mp4] demuxer=mov to demuxer=lavf in mplayer.conf, lavf handles .mp4 files better than mov
- Changed: Updated libass to 0.10.0
- Changed: Ass/ssa is now subtitle default which means outline, color, scale etc. works -Changed: The audio delay option in osd is more logical, a audio_delay of 100 ms doesn’t mean audio is 100 ms before video (mplayer standard), but 100 ms after
- Changed: Replaced mxml with tinyxml, because of loading problems and it seems lighter
- Changed: Updated GUI with button indicators, changed page size from 10 to 15
- Added: « Restart » and « Shutdown » buttons
- Added: A « smart menu » that saves your last selection and path when exiting a menu or playing a video (resets between devices)
- Added: Resume-playback function: if you stop a video in the middle of playing, it will save last position and resume from there if desired (more than a minute of video has to be played)
- Added: All libmenu’s working functions available in the main osd, so libmenu will no longer be needed
- Added: Patch from mplayerdev’s mailing list which adds support for playing videos inside multivolume uncompressed rar files
- Added: If a .rar file loads, it now gets the extension of the archived file, so the true extension profile is loaded
- Added: The (back) button goes directly back to homepage
- Added: Sort files. By pressing (x) in the file browser, you can order by Name or Date (day/month/year)
- Added: ASS settings can be accessed from the subtitle osd menu
- Added: Set ass=yes and vf=ass in mplayer config. This means it can be disabled and subfont can be used if desired
Version 0.0.1:
-Initial Release
================================================================================
Known Issues
================================================================================
- Cannot seek in files over 2 gigabytes (split the files for now)
- Prolonged pausing causes audio to go out of sync, « fix » this by seeking once in the file
- ASS Subtitle handling can cause freezes and lag. If rand
om crashes in video occurs, set ass=no and change vf=ass to #vf=ass in config
- Playing .rar can be unstable, sometimes freezing XMPlayer
- If your subs doesn’t show all the characters, try a different font by replacing subfont.ttf in folder
- XMPlayer does not always mount usb (uda) even though it loads, reload XMPlayer and try again
- Endless loading screen: Try formatting using Gui Format32, or try placing xenon.elf and symbols.elf on root of xbox’s internal hdd. Place the folder on the root of a usb (ntfs, fat), and then run xenon.elf from the internal harddrive via Dashlaunch.
- Can crash while using play’n'charge kit
- Audio balance not working
- Pictures and Music are not supported
- No networking!
================================================================================
