Annonce officielle de l'ouverture de la beta publique de 360 Waves Patcher.

Ce logiciel étant amené à évoluer, n'hésitez pas à me faire tous vos retours en répondant à ce topic. Pour commencer vous verrez que l'on ne peut que patcher en Wave1, mais le reste viendra dès demain matin. Les mises à jour sont automatiques.

Etant témoin de la difficulté de beaucoup d'entre vous pour patcher vos jeux Wave 3 en Wave 2 ou Wave 4 en Wave 3 voir Wave 2, je me suis décidé à vous faire un petit logiciel simplifiant au maximum ce travail. Je vous annonce donc aujourd'hui le lancement de la beta en exclusivité sur Logic Sunrise. Nous attendons donc de votre part, le maximum de retour possible afin d'améliorer ce soft.

Qui dit écran plus large dit augmentation du format et du poids, la DSi LL mesure donc 161×91x21mm pour 314gr contre 137×75x19mm contre  214gr pour sa petite soeur la DSi. Si on la compare avec les autres consoles portables du marché, il est vrai que l'on peut dire qu'elle à du poids !

La longévité de la batterie a elle aussi été légèrement boostée, comptez de 4 à 17h pour la DSi LL (DSi XL) en fonction de la luminosité d’écran utilisée contre 3 à 14h pour la DSi.

Il est là et enfin disponible : le firmware iXtreme v1.61 , pour l'instant seuls les possesseurs de lecteurs Samsung et BenQ pourront en profiter et lancer les jeux wave4 en natif sans passer par l'activate iso.

Aucun fichier "readme" ou "nfo" n'est fourni avec le package; pour la sortie de l'iXtreme v1.61 pour les lecteurs Liteon , il va falloir attendre encore un peu , sans plus de précisions....

These were released without any type of readme or NFO, but early user reports claim they work fine like v1.6 with added support for 'Wave 4' discs.

Me voilà avec une news très intéressante qui me vient directement d'une source très stable chez Nintendo. Malheureusement, lui et moi savons qu'elle ne doit pas forcément être diffusée, mais voilà les premières rumeurs concernant la WII 2 :

- La console embarquera un lecteur de disques Blu-Ray, la fonction première est de décourager le piratage.

- Elle supportera donc l'affichage 720P et 1080P, autant pour la diffusion des vidéos Blu-Ray, que pour les jeux.

- Une date de sortie pour courant 2010 est prévue.

- La sortie sera mondiale, orchestrée le même jour dans tous les pays.

- Une offre de reprise de votre Wii première génération est prévue.

Nintendo compte créer un Buzz mondial, en diffusant les premières infos et photos seulement un mois avant la sortie officielle de la WII 2. C'est pourquoi ce genre d'informations ne doivent pas être diffusées. Mais vous connaissez LS, ce n'est pas la politique de la maison.

L'annonce a été faite officiellement à une conférence de presse à Tokyo et cela ne concerne que le Japon dans l'immédiat. Il s'agit bien entendu de la DSi grand écran, la DSi LL. On retrouvera les mêmes caractéristiques que la DSi mais avec des écrans plus grands, de 4,2 pouces, c'est-à-dire de 10,66 centimètres.

La console sera commercialisée avec deux stylets, un long et un court et avec trois titres DSiWare préinstallés : deux entrainements cérébraux et Easy Distionnary. Trois couleurs sont prévues des la sortie  : Brun foncé,  vin rouge et blanc naturel. Le prix devrait être de 220$ contre 208$ actuellement pour la DSi standard.

Sortie japonaise annoncée au 21 novembre.

Nintendo has confirmed it is to release a new version of the DSi with larger screens in Japan on November 21.

Rumoured earlier in the week, the company officially announced the console at a press event held in Tokyo.

The console will feature two 4.2 inch screens – a 93 per cent increase on the screen size of the DS Lite - reports Kotaku.

It will be targeted at gamers who want to use their console for browsing the internet and display reading intensive software in a bigger font and retail at JPY 20,000 (USD 220), compared to the current DSi's price of JPY 18,900 (USD 208).

The DSi LL will come bundled with two touch pens and three pre-installed DSi Ware titles – two brain training games and the DS Easy Dictionary. It will come in dark brown, wine red and natural white colours.

Nintendo is yet to confirm if it will be released outside of Japan.

Vive les combinaisons compliquées... Il y a plus simple pour se souvenir de certaines manips : prenez un fan de Street Fighter IV. Comme chaque année, Microsoft va lancer une nouvelle offre de remboursement, elle va concerner toutes les gammes de consoles lême les Bundles ( hormis le pack Modern Warfare 2 héhé ).

Cet offre débutera le 30 Octobre 2009 et se terminera le 03 Janvier 2010.

L'offre sera de :

-40€ pour les packs Elite.

-20€ pour les packs Arcade.

La réduction n'étant pas immédiate en caisse, il vous faudra retirer le coupon de l'offre dans le magasin même, ou le retirer sur le site officiel, pour l'envoyer à Microsoft et ainsi attendre le remboursement après de très longs mois.

Microsoft ne devrait pas tarder à officialiser son offre anuelle.

Le blog du  MajorNelson nous informe qu’une mise à jour est disponible via le Xbox Live pour la Xbox 360, elle n’a rien à voir avec la mise en place de Facebook, Twitter et Zune prévue mi-novembre !

Il s’agit simplement de l’intégration du support WPA2 pour l’adaptateur Wifi.

Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll receive a prompt to accept this mandatory update. If you are signed into LIVE already, you may be signed out and asked to accept the update and you’ll be back online in a few moments.

This update does not include the Facebook, Twitter, Last.fm and Zune features. Those will be coming to Xbox LIVE later next month. This update adds WPA2 support for the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter.

Pour rappel ce logiciel vous permet de préparer vos disque dur WD Scorpio Blue ou Black pour les installer sur votre console xbox 360. C'est donc la bonne solution pour ne pas acheter des disques durs ou le giga coute 1€ ...

Avec le hddss.bin de 250Go releasé hier soir, vous pouvez maintenant vous préparer des disques dur de 250Go à moindre cout. Voilà le Nfo d'origine :

How to use
------------

HddHacker supports two flashing modes, Auto and Manual. Typing HddHackr at a DOS prompt
will start auto mode. In auto mode all hard drives will be detected automatically.
In manual mode you can enter all the parameters used for flashing by hand.

The following help screen is displayed if you start HddHacker with a wrong number of
arguments:

HDDHACKR [C|D|F|R] [PORT] [DRIVE POS] [SECTOR FILE] [RESTORE FILE]
                C: Create Partitions 0/2/3
        Dump sector 16-22 from XBOX360 HDD to file
                F: Flash Western Digital firmware
                R: Restore Western Digital firmware
             PORT: Port to send command to e.g. 09F0
        DRIVE POS: A0 for Master, B0 for Slave
      SECTOR FILE: Sector dump file e.g. HDDSS.BIN
     RESTORE FILE: Firmware restore file e.g. UNDO.BIN

Explanation of the Parameters
-------------------------------

[C|D|F|R]
---------
- this will set the mode of operation, it is recommended to first try to dump the XBOX360
  hard drive data, if the dump will fail, it is highly unlikely that a flash or restore
  will succeed on the Western Digital drive

[PORT]
--------
- the port to which the Hard Drive is connected, a port number should always be entered
  in hexadecimal and have 4 hex digits, valid ports are: 01F0, 09F0, .....
- this option can be used if your PCI adapter card or on board SATA ports are
  not identified by the auto mode

[DRIVE POS]
-------------
- on SATA ports this value is always A0, cause you can only connect a master drive to
  a SATA port, so for SATA you will always type A0 here

[SECTOR FILE]
---------------
- name of the sector 16-22 dump file better known as HDDSS.BIN

[RESTORE FILE]
----------------
- name of the firmware restore file e.g. UNDO.BIN



Using HddHacker in manual mode
--------------------------------

* Dumping the HDDSS.BIN file *
Boot to MS-DOS from a writeable medium (like a floppy or UBS Stick).
Connect an *original* Xbox360 HDD to your SATA controller. Make sure it is the only
SATA device that is connected. Now run 'HDDHACKR D [PORT] A0 HDDSS.BIN' and it will create
the file 'HDDSS.BIN' and save it to the path you've started HddHacker from.

* Creating Partitions 0/2/3 *
In auto-mode the Partition 0/2/3 will be created automaticly to make the drive compatible
with "Xplorer360" and XBOX360 Console. In manual-mode you have to type 'HDDHACKR C [PORT] A0'.

* Flashing your Western Digital drive *
Turn off your PC and connect the Western Digital hard drive. Boot to MS-DOS again.
Type 'HDDHACKR F [PORT] A0 HDDSS.BIN UNDO.BIN' from the same path you have saved the HDDSS.BIN
file to. This will create an 'UNDO.BIN' file that you need if you want to undo the hack
and flash your firmware back to the original state.

* Restoring your WD to original state *
If you don't want to use your modded WD HDD in your XBOX360 anymore and you want to
flash it back to its original size/state, then you can now do so. Boot to MS-DOS and
run 'HDDHACKR R [PORT] A0 UNDO.BIN'. This will use the UNDO.BIN file you created before to
restore the drive to its original state.

* Vendor Intro Power Brute for misflashed drives *
To enter the recovery mode you should boot to MS-DOS, connect your hard drive to PC and type
'HDDHACKR R [PORT] A0 UNDO.BIN'. If the hard drive is misflashed you will be prompted with:
"Western Digital Vendor Intro failed on port [PORT]"
"Do you want to resend the command until the drive responds (Y/N)?"
Press YES, disconnect the hard drive from power and connect it again.
You should get Status 0x50 and the drive will be reflashed.



FAQ
-----

Q. Will this tool allow me to connect a 500GB drive to my x360 ?
A. No. The information on sector 16 is signed and can't be changed. You can
only use the size where you have a valid signature for. In otherwords, if a
bigger HDD comes out, then you can use that signature.

Q. With which HDD's does this work ?
A. As of version 1.22, it now works with all sizes and versions of the
WesternDigital Scorpio Series.

Q. Do I need the same size WD HDD as the size on sector 16 states ?
A. No. You can use bigger HDD's, but you can't use more than the size stated
in sector 16. You can NOT use smaller HDD's than the size on sector 16 states.
For example, you can use a 40GB HDD with a sector 16 from a 20GB HDD, but
not the other way around of course.

Q. Can I use the HDD in my PC again ?
A. Of course. The tool comes with an 'restore' option, that will restore the
original size. For example, you use a 40GB WD HDD, you used HDDSS.BIN from
a valid xbox360 20GB HDD, so the tool will transform your 40GB HDD into a 20GB HDD.
However, you can restore it to 40GB anytime you want with the restore option.

Q. I lost my UNDO.BIN file, can I use it from another drive ?
A. There's no guarantee this will work. It might kill your drive.
Using a UNDO.BIN from a different model (e.g. LAT/RST) will kill your drive for sure.

Q. I have a XBOX360 Core/Arcade version and want to use this hack to buy a cheap HDD.
But how do i connect it ?
A. If you don't have a Premium/Elite, you can make the HDD internal. One great tutorial

Q. The tool doesn't detect my HDD !
A. First, make sure you are running it from real MS-DOS, not from a DOS box under windows.
If the HddHacker does not autodetect your SATA controller then let us know about it.

Q. The HddHacker says the UNDO.BIN file already exists.
A. If you previously made an UNDO.BIN file, then you should keep that one. There's no
need to create another one. Keep in mind that the UNDO.BIN represents the current state
of the drive.

Q. Could you do this for my Seagate, Maxtor, Samsung or whatever drive too ?
A. Yes, but I don't have plans to do so. It is a lot of work to convert this tool
for usage with other brands and don't think it is worth the trouble.

Q. Where can I donate ?
A. Nowhere. Just enjoy!

Xamphear de Xbox Hacker.net  vient de sortir une version de Xplorer360 compatible avec les nouveaux disques durs 250go. Xplorer360 est une application qui vous permettra d'accéder à l'ensemble des partitions du disque dur Xbox 360; Xbox  et carte mémoire. Il vous permettra également d'écrire des données.

Cette version beta 6 supporte uniquement les nouveaux disques durs de 250go. Pour créer des disques durs non officiels de 20, 60 ou 120go, il faut utiliser une version antérieure.

Avec l'HDDSS.bin pour 250Go releasé hier soir et un disque dur WD Scorpio Blue ou Black vous avez en main tous les outils pour la création d'un disque dur homemade.
