| Since this game can't stop boasting about its superduper 1080p |
| resolution, lemme begin with the graphics. NBA 07 is definitely |
| the middleman this b-ball season. Even though it doesn't look |
| as crisp as Live 07 (which, to be honest, is the only thing |
| EA's craptacular game has going for it), it easily outshines |
| NBA 2K7's visuals. For starters, the players look much more |
| accurate (one look at each game's version of the Mavericks' |
| Dirk Nowitzki and you'll know what I'm talking about), |
| plus they show some emotion while on the court (such as |
| grimacing when they go up for a dunk or block). Aside from |
| the pretty ballers, the rest of NBA 07's presentation will |
| make some people happy∧ piss off others. This edition goes |
| for a broadcast-free approach, and while that isn't my |
| preference (good commentary can definitely add to the drama), |
| it does make you feel like you're at the game -- you'll hear |
| Nikes squeakin', the PA dude calling out who scored, |
| and players jawing. I'm fine with 08 going this same route, |
| but they gotta jack up the crowd. Fans react in the same |
| boring manner whether you've just gone on a big run or are |
| continually throwin' up bricks. |
