Nightly 0.2.4 release

This is a nightly release. If you want a truly stable release, stick to the beta 0.2.3 release.

This version has a few neat features you should test:

- Press L during gameplay to toggle Autopilot. This feature will not be in the later versions, most likely. This is just a test for possible AI opponents. Try facing off multiple 3ds's in autopilot and see how well it behaves.
- You should be able to stay going diagonal if you release the cpad while in a diagonal.
- Most graphical problems should be solved even if the opponent drops lots of packets.
- Notice where the apple relocates as the game progresses. As the screen is more filled, the apple should be placed somewhere someone alive can still get it, unless they are in a very tight spot.

Quelques fonctions ont été ajoutées, un pilote automatique en test qui ne sera probablement pas reconduit dans de futures versions, des diagonales, la résolution de problèmes graphiques et une nouvelle gestion sur la pomme.

Nightly 0.2.4.2
@DDews DDews released this 3 hours ago · 1 commit to master since this release

This is a nightly release.

It is not a finished game. It may crash or have bugs. If you see any bugs, please let me know!

New features:

If you play alone, an AI opponent named Saad will play as Yellow against you. This works for most game options, except it doesn't know what to do with "No apple" enabled. If you die, and Saad is still alive, but can't get the apple, or you are impatient, you can press A while dead to forfeit your score and end the round. If someone joins your game while Saad is playing against you, he will automatically leave the game. You cannot play Saad with others, but you can autopilot against your friends. In later releases there will be a game options menu where you can set the number of opponents you'd like to face in one player. I don't think there will ever be the option to play against multiple bots with other players because the 3ds's will desynchronize due to the differing processing times the host and the guests have.

You can press L to enable auto pilot. Doing this will forfeit your win for that round. Auto pilot will auto "ready" when other people are playing with you. You can toggle auto pilot in-game or at the end-of-round screen. Pressing L at the start screen enables debugging! This is probably not what you want. Press L during gameplay or at the end of round screen to toggle Autopilot. If autopilot was engaged at ANY point during a round, your score will be forfeit! Auto pilot and the AI opponent both use the same algorithm, so don't be surprised if they "follow" each other most of the time. You can have many 3ds's auto pilot against each other, but you can't play against ai opponents with your friends unless some 3ds's are designated to be auto pilots.

You can hold R and press X at the start screen to enable cheats. This will do two things:

Your snake will try to turn away from a wall if it would otherwise get killed. This is not the same as auto pilot. You can and will get killed if you're not careful. This is truly the only new feature to the cheats, but since it was never officially advertised, I'm still putting it here.
You can drag and drop the apple by touching the bottom screen.
Your win will be FORFEIT if cheats are enabled. You cannot disable cheats without restarting the game.
Your name will be changed to Cheater if you enable cheats, and you cannot change your name until you restart the game.
