Download PspWxp Encore v4 beta 2
============================
pspWxp 'Encore' Version 4.00
============================
Beta 1
------
Note: This is a Beta, not a final version. Most features are still in
development so the portal will appear to be very buggy. This is release
is aimed at developers who wish to help develop pspWxp. This is not aimed
at end users. If you wish to distribute this, please make it clear this
is a very early beta!
Official Encore Thread: http://blazebyte.myf.../about1217.html
1. Installing pspWxp Manually:
------------------------------
1. Download from http://pspwxp.co.nr/
2. Unzip to a folder on your hard drive
3. Plug in the PSP using the USB cable
4. Important: If you already have existing version of encore installed,
you must Delete or Rename the existing version of the 'encore' folder in
order for encore to work properly.
5. Copy the "encore" (without quotes) folder (in the zip) into the ROOT
FOLDER of your PSP drive.
ROOT FOLDER - refers to the very topmost folder, the folder that contains
the PSP and MP_ROOT folders. (Do not place the "pspwxp" folder inside of
MP_ROOT, place it next to it and the PSP folder.)
6. After it has finished copying:
If in Windows, you should safely remove the PSP by clicking on the
icon (with the green arrow) on the system tray, and then click the
appropriate item.
7. Unplug the USB cable
8. Go into the internet browser of the PSP.
9. On the PSP Browser, go to Tools - Delete Cache ... and clear you Cache.
Then go to Tools - Settings - Cache and turn this to "Do Not Use"
Then turn off your PSP, and restart it. This prevents memory errors.
10. After restarting your PSP, again go into the Internet Browser.
Type in the address "file:/encore/index.htm" (without quotes)
11. Press enter
12. Press Triangle to hide the browser's toolbars (press triangle again
to show it)
13. It should now load.

Troubleshooter:
---------------
Q. I get a message saying "The content connot be displayed"
A. First make sure you typed in the address right (file:/encore/index.htm).
If the error still occurs, you may not have put the files in the right
place. Follow step one to try again. If that also fails, it's probably a
bug. Post it on the forums and I should be able to fix it.
Q. I can't get to the desktop after the loading screen OR the text on the
desktop and the start menu look squashed
A. The display mode must be set to normal. Change it by pressing triangle
to bring up the toolbar and scroll to View and press X. Change the Display
mode to Normal.
Q. I do not here the welcome sound.
A. You must have flash on your PSP. This is included with firmware version
2.7 (or later) and must be enabled through system settings.
Please make sure Key Tones in settings are switched on, it's the only way
to here sound from flash
Q. The welcome sound seems garbled
A. Wait for encore to load, the loading screen will automatically disappear,
do not use the cursor during this time, as it causes interference.
Q. I receive the error "Out of memory".
A. The PSP has run out of memory and the internet browser must be refreshed
To minimize this problem, turn the PSP Browser cache settings to "Do Not Use"
2. Legal
--------
This is NOT homebrew - it is a set of webpages. It will not hurt you PSP in any way. It's just like a website but it is offline, meaning you do not need to be connected to the internet to use it. pspWxp just opens in the intenet browser. It is free and totally LEGAL.
Encore is a version name of pspWxp.
