Download XBThingy v0.6

- - - - -

What's new?
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ>
* Client/server built into the app for sharing your games list with
  other people! (100% configurable including enable/disable and port)
* Brand new options dialog with improved tab-style grouping
* Applied current windows theme instead of those nasty plain buttons
* Logging (configurable)
* Save settings via .ini file
* Save what games were checked on your list and downloaded lists
  independently
* Only one instance allowed (cannot run two copies at once)
* Export to Excel and HTML (first test - improvements coming!)
  hopefully able to create your own templates for these!
* Fixed up and tested all features with Win2K (few users reported
  that XBThingy! and Win2k didn't get along)
* NEW DATABASE FIELDS! It is recommended that you use the database
  supplied with this release and re-add your games; hopefully format
  will remain in the format from this release (application not
  guaranteed to work with older database)
* Options for showing application in system tray/taskbar/neither/both

As always, make SURE you have the .NET framework installed! (Any
version should do fine) and Windows 2000 users that have never updated
their MDAC need to do so as well! (The application will check for
outdated MDAC)

COMING SOON:
* Transfer games to/from XBox

v0.5.1 updates:
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ>
(Mainly a bugfix release)
* International support (didn't work if a comma ',' was the system's
  decimal point
* Opacity (NOTE: may not work on non-XP or -2K...haven't tested)
* Cancellation button for searching
* Released source on SourceForge! sourceforge.net/projects/xbthingy

What is it?
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ>
XBThingy is an application to help you keep your XBox games organized
cleanly and easily.

Features:
* Highly customizable
* Database-driven game list
* Extracts game names from isos, XBEs
* Facilitates organized handling of large amounts of games

Upcoming features:
* Easily copy games to and from your XBox

Why should I use it?
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ>
Well, I don't know...I guess some people might want to be able to
keep their games spread out across multiple hard drives (like I do)
and get confused as to where one of them might be at the moment. I
just wanted to write my own and allow the user more control over
their listing of games.

Why the heck does this readme look so funny?
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ>
You're using the wrong font. If you're reading this in notepad (as
you should be :P) simply go to "Format => Font..." in the menu and
change it to "Terminal" size 10. Then you shall see the XBThingy!
readme in all its splendor! If you're not using notepad, use notepad.

Why doesn't it have <insert feature here>?
ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ>
Either because I haven't thought about it and no one has suggested
it, it's a dumb idea, it doesn't fit into XBThingy!'s idiom, or
because it's coming soon. I'd love to be able to put everything
everyone wants into my app, but that would just get crazy :P.

How can I get in touch with this "Parnic" person?

Finally, I'm not trying to draw people away from other applications
that are similar to this one, I just like mine and it's possible that
there are other people who would say the same.
